Latter-day Visions of the Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

this is a reply to a letter I sent to a friend... but it teaches her to receive revelation the a good way...

Look for the answers from god not from other people... don't ask the Lord, tell him whether you believe it or not. Be specific and don't ask alot of questions... Just tell him. I would say it like this, Father in heaven, I ask thee in the name of Jesus Christ to forgive me of my sins and transgressions that I may come closer to thee, that I may learn thy will for me. Father my relatives from beyond the veil came to me with a message about a man who is also beyond the veil. I believe this is right and ask thee to confirm that it is indeed right... Or if you don't believe it then tell him that. then close in the name of Jesus Christ Amen... If what you ask is confirmed you may receive instant answers in your mind, you may not... But whether or not you do, just keep tract of your feelings Thur out the next several hours... If you feel the fruit of the spirit listen in Galatians chapter 5 verse 22-23 which is love peace happiness Etc etc etc... you will know it is right.. If the spirit withdraws from you, you will feel the fruit of the adversary. This is the exact opposite of the fruit of the spirit of god... it is anger, anxiety, depression, hate.... you will feel irritable, your day will feel bad. as soon as you get this answer immediately stop what your doing and pray to the father in the name of Jesus that you know you were wrong about what you thought. ask him to remove the spirit of the adversary and replace it with his spirit. he will. You can council with who ever you want to... But the job of the bishop and the leaders of our church are to help you to come to God the father and Jesus Christ so that you may trust on them, Not the flesh... Any bishop or church leader who wants you trust on them may have a problem with wanting to put themselves and there opinions in front of god instead of getting out of the way and pointing you to god
